Summary
A 2D platformer with with a turn based combat system. 
The more intriguing aspect of the game is the switch from platformer to turn based combat system. By pressing a button when next to an enemy you can fight him in a "focus mode", otherwise you can fight them normally, you get to choose, but be careful because some enemies are easier to fight normally while others are not.
Level Design
One of my many tasks was to create the levels. So I not only designed them to be fun, but also made sure to hide some of the power ups behind walls. After learning how to use tile sets in Unity I went ahead and added foreground objects taking inspiration from other 2D games in order to create a believable world. After that I added a background that was using another layer of tile sets but a little more washed out. Finally, I added some layers that go blank whenever the player gets close to them, in order to hide some of the powerups.
